On Sept. 21 the Tigard High cross country team ran against Tualatin High and Hillsboro High. The boys won the invite, and the girls came in second.
The course was a tough one in the heat with gradual inclines all over, but our varsity girls took third place in the race with freshman Elizabeth Dean and fifth with senior Emily Walch.
The boys won third place with senior Scott Rice and fourth with junior John Walker.
The Tualatin Invite is the first race to count towards districts. The next cross country meet is at home on Sept. 28.
